Privacy Policy for ICU Basics

1. Introduction

Alexander Gateley ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use the ICU Basics application (the "App").

2. Data Collection and Usage

We do not collect, store, or share any personal information. The App operates entirely on your device. Your quiz progress, scores, flagged questions, notes, mock exam results, exam date, daily goal, study streak, and settings are stored locally and are never transmitted to our servers or to any third parties. We have no user accounts and no sign-in.

Deleting the App deletes this information. You can also clear it at any time from Settings → Reset progress.

3. Features That Use Your Device

Some features hand data to standard parts of iOS at your request. None of them send anything to us.

• Backups. Settings → Back up progress writes your data to a file and opens the iOS share sheet so you can save it to iCloud Drive, Files, or another device you choose. Where you store it is governed by that service's privacy policy (for example, Apple's for iCloud Drive).
• Reminders and the widget. The daily study reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device at the time you choose; no notification service is involved. The optional home-screen widget reads the day's question from the App's own storage on your device.
• Sharing your score. "Share your score" creates an image on your device and opens the iOS share sheet. Nothing is shared unless you choose an app or contact to share it with.
• Email. "Report a problem with this question" and "Send feedback" open your email app with a pre-filled message addressed to us. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send it, and any email you send is used only to respond to you and improve the App.

4. Third-Party Services

The App does not use third-party analytics or advertising services that track your activity or collect personal data. It is distributed through the Apple App Store, which is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Because the App does not collect any personal information, it is safe for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy and, if necessary, by providing notice within the App.
